2013
Perfect KOA Quality Review Score
Of all the KOA Kampgrounds, less than 2% receive a perfect
score on their annual Quality Review. Because of our special
staff, and the support of our campers, the Shelby/Mansfield
KOA Resort achieved this in both 2011 & 2013!. Thank
you all!
2010-2011
KOA "We Are Family" Award
We are excited about having the honor of receiving the "We
Are Family" Award by the KOA Owners Association.
As stated by the nominator; "I don't think I've
ever seen a new franchisee get so involved in our system
and be so influential with both our home office staff and
with their fellow franchisees. They have taken a leadership
role in both the KOA Owners Association, KOA, and the larger
camping system with their involvement in ARVC (National
Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds)."
Garry served 2 terms on the Owners Association board and
Vicki is currently serving as President of the Owners Association
board.
KOA 2008 Franchisee of the Year Award and ARVC (National
Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds) 2007/2008 Medium-Sized
Campground of the Year
ARVC Chairman's Award Winner 2012 Garry
Cole was presented the ARVC (National Association of RV Parks
and Campgrounds) Chairman's Award for 2012 by ARVC Chairman,
Rob Shutter at the ARVC National Convention in Las Vegas,
NV. His generosity of spirit, his dedication and his support
for the industry is appreciated by all those he touches and
in the many hours of volunteer work he has given for ARVC.
ARVC Direct Mail Promotion of the Year 2006
The National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC)
presented Shelby/Mansfield KOA with Honorable Mention for
their "Kamping News" 2006 edition.
ARVC Park of the Year Award
The Shelby/Mansfield KOA has been named “Park of the
Year for 2004/2005” by the National Association of RV
Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC). This is the highest award
given by ARVC and it is judged on National Directory Ratings,
Operations Excellence, Community Service, Association Involvement,
Park Promotions, Management Skills, Education, and Employee
Training Techniques. They were chosen from over 3,900 parks
for this highest award.
KOA Founder's Award
Kampgrounds of America, Inc. recently honored Shelby/ Mansfield
KOA with the Founder’s Award for their outstanding camper
guest service. The KOA Founder’s Award relies on feedback
from campers at the KOA Kampgrounds.
The Founder’s Award is presented to a KOA Kampground
owner based on their high level of customer service and for
their ability to meet their camping guests’ expectations.
This award relies solely on feedback from campers through
annual surveys to measure guests’ experience while staying
at their campground. To achieve a Founder’s award, the
campground must score high in all areas of customer service,
campground facilities, cleanliness and overall value.
KOA President’s Award
For the past three years, Garry and Vicki Cole and their great
staff have achieved the President’s Award. This award
is given to KOA Kampgrounds that received exceptional scores
on their quality assurance facilities review, for being a
positive part to the KOA system, and for receiving high scores
on their annual camper survey.
