This 2.4–mile road course boasts six national and international

Kingwood Center
Kingwood is the 47-acre former estate of Charles K. King. The
grounds are renowned for both their historic significance and
the brilliant floral displays of the new gardens. The French Provincial
mansion contains many rooms decorated with Mr. King’s original
furnishings and one of Ohio’s outstanding horticultural
libraries. An elegant greenhouse features year-round displays
and plant sales. The extensive grounds offer opportunities for

The Living
Bible Museum
Witness the Holy Bible come to life before your very eyes. Fifty-nine
life-sized dioramas accompanied with special effects and an audio
text will provide for you an experience you will never forget.
Also included: Miracles of the Old Testament, Ohio’s only
wax museum, and the Christian Martyrs. A collection of rare Bibles,
woodcarvings, and American Votive Folk Art are now on display.
The museum is non-denominational. Each tour is one hour in length

The Ohio State
Reformatory - Mansfield
With the cornerstone laid in 1886, this castle-like prison was
designed as a reformatory for young offenders. Abandoned in 1990,
the original cellblocks and administration areas remain intact.
Four major motion pictures have been filmed on location, including
“The Shawshank Redemption” and “Air Force One.”
Listed on the nation Register of Historic Places, tour admissions
are applied directly to the preservation of the building. Not

Festival
The largest eating festival in Ohio of German heritage. This years
dates are Aug. 14, 15, 16, 2008.
Eric Grohe
Murals - Bucyrus
“Great American Crossroads” depicts many stories and
scenes in the mural. The people and activities were chose from
various times throughtout the last 100 years. Over 130 Bucyrus
citizens modeled for the artist, 88 of whom can be found in the
mural. The mural artist is Eric Grohe of Marysville, Washington.
Also designed and painted by Eric Grohe during the summer and
fall of 2001, “Liberty Remembers” honors veterans
of all wars. The portraits of 284 Crawford County veterans flank
Lady Liberty, who is embracing a dying soldier. During the painting
of this mural, the events of September 11, 2001, unfolded. Immediately
after, Eric painted a phrase on the banner which he taped to the
mural and later incorporated in the painting. The phrase, “Our
flag still waves. Her torch still shines,” can be seen on

This is a 15,000 volume genealogical library, primarily for the
Ohio family research. Included in this library are census record,
cemetery listings, and Bible records, and lineage papers for first

Amish Country
Although Ohio’s Amish live the simple life, traveling the
country roads by horse and buggy, visitors to Amish country can
still see the sights from the comfort of their cars. Large, white-painted
farmhouses are scattered across the green fields. Rows of paster
dresses and black work pants hang to dry in the sun. Barefoot
boys wearing suspenders stroll alongside the road.

Theater
A 1928 movie place in grand baroque design is now a nonprofit

Freedom Festival
July 4th at Mansfield Lahm Airport, the only festival in the area
that provides both air and ground entertainment. The largest fireworks
show in North Central Ohio. Scheduled to appear: C-130, Mansfield’s
own airlift wing; B-17, World War II historical “Yankee
Lady” available for rides; C-47; The Misty Blues all-girl
skydiving team; tremendous car show Wings of Valor, display of
paintings and photos; Pepsi Skywriter; and The Stars and Stripes,

Cooper’s
Mill
Cooper’s produces the most delicious jams and jellies you’ll
ever spread on your bread. Their famous apple butter is slow cooked
over a wooden fire in 50-gallon copper kettles, then poured into
jars for national distribution. Owners Miriam and David Cooper
got their start with a simple fresh fruit and vegetable stand
outside their home in 1969. The still use the original jelly recipes
from David’s grandmother.
The Picking
Copper Kettle Works
The Picking Company is the oldest continuous manufacturer in Bucyrus
and the last of the hand-hammered copper kettle shops in America.

Bill Bader, Sr. in 1974 and run today by Bill Bader, Jr. Summit
Motorsports Park (SMP) is located two miles east of the City of
